An event dedicated to May 23 – Ecologists’ Professional Day was organized by the “Ecoforce” Club of the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU).
First, the National Anthem was performed, and the dear memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country was honored with a minute of silence.
At the event, Head of ADAU’s Department of Ecology and Forestry, Nizami Seydaliyev, spoke about the importance of ecology in the modern era, global environmental problems, and the necessity of environmental protection.
Later, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Ecology and Nature Protection at Ganja State University, Natiqa Ismayilzadeh, and Head of ADAU’s Quality Assurance and Strategic Development Department, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Ecology and Forestry, Madina Abishova, discussed the importance of interuniversity cooperation, joint activities in the field of ecology, as well as the activities of the “Ecoforce” Club, work carried out in the direction of sustainability, and future initiatives.
Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Forestry Izabella Gasimova and Chairman of the “Ecoforce” Club Seymur Mastaliyev noted the growing interest of young people in ecology and emphasized the important role of awareness-raising activities in this field. They also congratulated everyone working in the field of ecology on the occasion of their professional holiday.
At the end of the event, active students were awarded honorary certificates.
