Akram Mahmudzade, a graduate of the bachelor’s degree program of the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU) and current master’s degree student of the first course, gave a student’s scholarship to Vafa Mukhtarova, a faculty member of the Department of Languages of the university, the wife of Major Sarkhan Mukhtarov.
The head of the Department of General Agriculture, Genetics and selection, Aynur Hasanova, who spoke at the event, spoke of the dedication of the Azerbaijani people to achieving a historic victory and the work done in our country towards the building of an army, the feat of our soldiers in the Patriotic War. She expressed her gratitude to the student and his family for their good actions and initiative.
The father of student Adalat Mahmudov said that his son Akram Mahmudzade volunteered to become an example for all students and to support the attention and care of the State to the Shehids’ families.
It was noted that, in accordance with the decision of the Academic Council of the University of 5 January 2021, 200 manats had been added to the official salaries of the six employees who had taken part in the war, 2 employees - Gurban Gurbanov and Fariz Suleymanov, were transferred from assistant to senior lecturer. In addition to this decision of the University Trade Union Committee, 6 persons received material assistance totalling 2,700 manat.
In addition, since October 2020, the ADAU leadership has been taking in the care of 5 little Shehid’s children of the Patriotic War, Janlar Javadov, and the family has been receiving monthly financial assistance in the amount of 300 manat for 3 years.
In addition, a student, Sevil Aliyeva, who lost both parents as a result of rocket attacks on the civilian population by Armenia during the Patriotic War, a monthly scholarship of 150 manat from extrabudgetary funds is granted at the initiative of the university management and the decision of the Academic Council.
