Ibrahim Jafarov gave a lecture to the summer school participants

The next lecture of the 2nd day for participants of the summer school «Agriculture of the Future», held in the Azerbaijan State Agicultural University (ADAU) on July 22-31, was on the topic «Place of agricultural education in agriculture of the future».

The lecture was given by the Rector of the University, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Ibrahim Jafarov. Referring to the existing threats to agriculture and the fact that the liberated territories occupy large and fertile lands, the Rector said that according to the concept of the «smart village» computerization of the process strengthens production capacity. «Smart village» is an automated, centralized and jointly managed system for everything, from irrigation to land cultivation and harvesting, but also includes the application of the most modern technologies and technnotorspheroids. Integration of this system into other areas of rural infrastructure - alternative energy sources and modern transportation system - will complement the concept of «smart village». The lecture was very interactive and provided detailed answers to students' questions.

Then the participants visited the Teaching and research Farm of ADAU. Here fruit orchards, modern livestock complex, slaughter etc. were met with interest. The assistant of the Department of Ecology Madina Abishova gave a training on the topic «Integration of ecological and genetic sustainability».
